Description
DiffraX™ is an in situ sandwich plate made from thin plastic film so that individual windows can easily be cut out. The windows can be mounted on an adapted cryocap and plunge frozen without further cryoprotection. High-throughput users can even mount the entire plate for rapid screening and serial data collection.
The Starter Kit contains:
5 x Thin Film Sandwiches
Consisting of the Base Film with adhesive spacer and Cover Film to complete the sandwich.
5 x Printed Lower Evaporation Cover
Thicker plastic sheet to reduce moisture loss from film sandwich, printed to indicate drop position when inspecting plates.
5 x Upper Evaporation Cover
Thicker plastic sheet to reduce moisture loss from film sandwich.
5 x Frames
Supports thin film sandwich for ease of handling. The frame is SBS standard size and compatible with automated set-up and plate scanning equipment.
5 x Lids
Protects film sandwich.
5 x DiffraX™ Sample Holder
Vial and cryocap adapted with clip to hold single DiffraX™ window for plunge freezing and data collection.
1 x Scapel
To cut single drops out of thin film sandwich for plunge freezing and data collection.
